I think you're thinking of Rendering. You can't edit a picture to look like this, well you can, but it takes some serious work, and lots of experience. The pictures you're most likely seeing aren't actually taken from live for speed. They use the car models from LFS, and import them into CAD software, and use that to make renders. It's a completely different skill set
As far as I'm concerned, Photoshop CS2 is the gold standard when it comes to photo editing programs. However, I'm guessing you're not going to be able to afford it, it's around $650 USD. However, I was reading in some magazing, either Outdoor Photographer or Popular Photography about the Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite. Apparently it's much more than just a tool for reducing red-eye an emailing photos. I guess it actually does have some substance, also, it can use Adobe Photoshop filters and effects. The pro version costs about $110USD if I recall correctly.
I don't really refer to cars using a gender, but there are definitely masculine and feminine cars. A Dodge Viper is masculine, whereas an Alfa Romeo Berera is feminine. I still call cars "it" though.
I haven't been to the cinema recently, but right now I would really like to see Stranger Than Fiction, I've seen it in previews on TV and it looks quite good.
By the way, in Forza, the car does turn by using the front wheels, it doesn't use rotation points. I've tried this many times before. Forza also has suspension movement, and on road cars, quite a bit of it. You can also see it has dynamic camber, and is simulating the circle of grip on each tire.
Now, I am NOT saying Forza is as realistic as LFS, not even close, but it's certainly not in the same class as GT4. In my opinion at least, Forza actually feels right, unlike a lot of other so called sims, including the SimBin/ISI titles....
Yes, actually, I would. Even if we get a new fantasy track with corners like those of the 'ring, it's still not the 'ring. It would be fun for sure, but still not the same. I have nothing against Eric as a track designer, in fact, as far as modern circuits go, his are better than almost any real life track. That's why I don't really care if we get other real life tracks in LFS. Those are just tracks, and Live For Speed already has superior tracks. The Nurburgring is a legend, and that would be at least half of what I'd be paying for when I bought the track. Again, I should also say that Bathurst is something more than just a track, it's a legend too. Mosport too, really. I wouldn't pay for something like Hungary or Albert Park or any other modern track though.
I'd love other real life tracks, and I'd pay for them. However, in the end, they're just tracks. The Nurburgring is a legend, plain and simple. Yes, I know, I can play it in GTL, GTR, GPL, and Racer, but those are all just conversions of the GPL track, which is a decent approximation at best. The Nurburgring is the only reason I have Forza Motorsport, it's the only track I ever race on. I paid $50 for Forza, and I'd gladly pay that much, maybe more, just to get the Nurburgring in LFS. Yes, it wouldn't be good for online pickup races, but it would be amazing offline and in leagues. I'd sell all my other games just to have it. It would be amazing.
Edited to say, I guess the only other track that falls in the category of "more than a track" would be Bathurst. I haven't had much experience with it other than GTR, GTL, and seeing it on TV, but it looks amazing too.
I'd gladly pay $25 for the Nurburgring. I know Eric could make a track similar to it, and I hope he does if we don't get the 'ring. But the Nurburgring is so legendary, I'd love to race it.
Site: Setupfield
Leage: STCC, just because the broadcasts are so fun
Team: DSRC, simply because I look forward to racing everytime their servers are populated
Application: Analyze for Speed. Hands down the most useful, ever
Person: Scawen Roberts, Eric Bailey, and Victor Van Vlaardigan
Yep, the Force Feedback is completely adjustable. I don't really know about the difference in noise between the DFP and the MOMO, but I thought they were pretty similar.
How bad is the mobile phone fraud? Would she be better off asking one of the Brits on the forum here to buy one, then buy it from them? I can tell you I trust the guys on here a lot more than eBay...
